The heart of Yoga is practice. This Practice Manual describes the weekly sequence of daily practices that Dona Holleman practiced personally with Mr. Iyengar in the sixties and later transmitted to Orit Sen Gupta.
Morning practice includes pranayama and then a different group of asanas – Standing Poses, Forward Bends, Backbends or Hand Balances. Afternoon practice includes Inverted Poses and Sitting Positions.
In the Practice Manual the reader will find drawings of the asanas for each day of the week alongside their Sanskrit names, and also Guidelines for deepening one's inner practice through using the Manual. There is also an exposition of the Seven Vital Principles of Vijnana Yoga.
